Eagles lose in overtime.
The Craigieburn Eagles division 3 BIG V men's team lost an exciting game in overtime at Westernport on Saturday night. There were 11 lead changes in the game where 6 points was the biggest margin at any time. The Eagles led 25 to 23 at quarter time, the Westernport Steelers led 42 to 36 at half time, the Eagles had regained the led 57 to 51 at three quarter time only for the Steelers to come home strongly to level the scores at 67 in the final quarter. In the overtime the Steelers displayed much better composure to overun the Eagles to win by 9 points 78 to 69. A very brave performance from the young Eagles team. The Eagles had a very even contribution from all team members. Mark Welsh 16 points 8 rebounds, Kane McNamara 13 points 8 rebounds and Robert Toller Bond 12 points 5 rebounds, Jeremy Bullock 8 points 7 rebounds, Trent Rhodes, 7 points 11 rebounds and Drew Petrie 8 points 2 rebounds. The team would like to thank the big group of supporters that made the trip to Westernport to support the team.
